AC Milan fan favourite Gennaro Gattuso has been welcomed with a wide-spread criticism at the start of his life as Rossoneri boss but his response has been nothing short of impressive.
AC Milan’s fine form of late has been capped by a formidable 2-1 win over high-flying Serie A side Lazio, after which Gattuso – unusually – rounded his players at the centre of the pitch to let them slap him on the head.
Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri revealed the reasoning behind it which reveals Gattuso’s masterclass man management.
“I just want to make them happy, especially the players angry with me because are on the bench, so now they have chance to slap me”, he said.
