Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic is set to be handed a new contract at Old Trafford, the Daily Express has learned.
The 32-year-old has entered the final year of his current deal, which has led to speculations linking him with a move away from the club.
However, Daily Express understands that the Red Devils are set to offer him a one-year extension.
Given that the Serbian never really suggested that he was prepared to leave his current employers, chances are that he will be staying at Old Trafford beyond next summer.
Vidic joined Manchester United in a €10.5 million deal from Spartak Moscow back in 2005 and has since made almost 200 Premier League appearances for the club, winning five league titles in the process.
With the Red Devils showing a lot of improvement after the dismal start to the season, the Serbian is 9/2 to lead Manchester United to yet another Premiership trophy.
