Vieira heading for Lyon?

According to a recent report from L’Equipe, legendary former midfielder Patrick Vieira is on the shortlist to replace Bruno Genesio as the manager of Lyon during the summer transfer window. Genesio was said to be on the verge of signing a new contract, but poor results as of late have ensured that his future is no longer certain. Vieira, on the other hand, is still considered to be a bit of a wildcard when it comes to his managerial prowess, but his name value alone is enough to cause some intrigue amongst the casual fans.

The Frenchman is best known for his tenure at Arsenal Football Club, but he’s always been viewed as a player that has a great mind for the game, too.

He may not be the most experienced of selections with Christopher Galtier and Laurent Blanc also being on the shortlist, but he’d certainly give it his all.
