Vieirinha linked with Premier League switch

German daily newspaper Bild understands that Wolfsburg full-back Vieirinha could be moving to English Premier League this summer.

The player’s former club PAOK have enquired about the possibility of bringing the Portuguese footballer back to Toumba, but the 30-year-old rejected the opportunity as he reportedly wants to move to England.

Several Premier League clubs are believed to be keen on Vieirinha, who could be yet another top player to leave Volkswagen Arena this summer.

Defender Naldo has already left the club, while Ricardo Rodriguez, Luiz Gustavo, Max Kruse and Daniel Caligiuri could all follow suit.

Despite arriving at Wolfsburg as a right winger, Vieirinha has been almost exclusively used as right-back of late, and he has adapted well to his new position.

The full-back is in contention to play for Portugal in the Euro 2016 semi-final against Wales, where the Selecao are 23/20 to win the match in regular time.
