Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres is open to a move to Newcastle United in the January transfer window, according to Football Transfers. Newcastle are reportedly in talks for the former Coventry City star, who wants to play regular first-team football wherever he goes next.
Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are also keen on Gyokeres. While the 26-year-old striker appreciates their interest, he is aware that he is not going to play as regularly for them as he would for Newcastle, who are keen on a deal for him in the middle of the season to enhance their chances of ending up in the Premier League top four.
Gyokeres has scored 17 goals and given one assist in 13 Liga Portugal matches for Sporting so far this season. The Sweden international striker has also found the back of the net five times and has given one assist in five UEFA Champions League this campaign.
