Viktoria Plzen have won the Czech cup with a 2-1 win over slightly favored Jablonec in Tuesday’s final.
The final of the Ondrasovka Cup, as it is called, had league runners-up Jablonec face Viktoria Plzen who finished the league in fifth place.
Plzen needed less than two minutes for Milan Petrzela to score the opener but had their goal cancelled out by David Lafata on the hour mark.
The winning goal came eight minutes later as David Bystron put Plzen back in the lead, 2-1. This would also be the final score.
Viktoria Plzen had never won the trophy before but its predecessor, Skoda Plzen, did reach the Czechoslovakian Cup final in 1971.
