Villa confident on Sinclair deal

Aston Villa are confident in completing a loan deal for Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair, according to the Mail Online.

Villa boss Paul Lambert had said the chances of a potential transfer for the former Swansea City man had looked to be over, but talks have been revived, with a conclusion looking near.

A price of £4m had been considered too much by the Midlands outfit, so now a loan deal appears to be a more probable option.

Sinclair has played just three minutes of league football for Manuel Pellegrini’s side so far this season, across two brief cameo substitute appearances while he spent the whole of the 2013/14 campaign on loan at West Bromwich Albion.

The 25 year old spent five years at Chelsea prior to his switch to Swansea in 2010, but had no less than six temporary spells away from Stamford Bridge during his time with the Blues.
