Villa eye Jedinak move

Aston Villa are eyeing a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak, according to the Mirror.

Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo is looking to bring in more strength in the middle of the park after beginning the season with back-to-back defeats, and has identified the Australia captain as his top target.

The Villains are also likely to lose Ashley Westwood with Premier League newcomers Burnley looking to bring in the twenty-six year old.

Jedinak has been with Palace from June 2011 and has since racked up one hundred and seventy-seven appearances for the club, scoring ten goals.

He was part of the squad that won promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs in 2013 when he was voted the club’s Player of the Season.

He has also been capped a total of sixty-four times for his country, scoring twelve goals and featured at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
