Aston Villa are lining up a £10m move for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe, according to the Metro.
Tim Sherwood is desperate to bolster his striking options after presiding over six defeats from the opening eight matches of the season, and could move for the former Arsenal man when the transfer window reopens.
The 22 year old moved for Molineux in January and has since racked up thirty-three appearance in all competitions, scoring nineteen goals.
Prior to his move to Wolves, he had a half a season loan with MK Dons, where he scored nineteen goals in thirty appearances while he has also has had temporary spells with Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Bolton Wanderers, Reading and Huddersfield Town.
He has been capped twice by England’s U21s, scoring once and replaced West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino in the 2015 European Championships.
Villa, who travel to Chelsea next, can now be backed at 4/5 to be relegated to the Championship.
