Aston Villa are closing in on a deal to sign Scott Sinclair from Manchester City, according to the Mirror.
The winger has barely featured for the Premier League champions since securing a move there in the summer of 2012, and is desperate to relaunch is career.
He has started just to league games for City, while his season-long loan spell last year at West Bromwich Albion was rather unsuccessful also, with the former Swansea City man gaining just six starts in all competitions.
Crystal Palace have also been linked with a move for the 25 year old, but Villa Park looks his most likely to be his next destination.
A fee of £2.5m may even be enough to secure his services, despite the ex-England U21 international having eighteen months remaining on his current deal.
Villa have scored just eleven league goals so far this season – the lowest total in the division.
