Villa offered Vidic

Aston Villa have been offered the chance to sign former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic, according to the Mail Online.

The thirty-four-year old is currently without a club after seeing his contract with Inter Milan terminated by mutual consent, and is on the lookout for a new club.

A host of MLS clubs are interested in securing a deal for the Serbian though he is interested in return to the Premier League, with the centre-back having spent eight years at Old Trafford prior to his move to Italy.

Villa, who are rock bottom of the Premier League, are looking for a leader as the look to retain their top flight status with the club one of just seven to be in the division since its inception.

Remi Garde’s side travel to local rivals West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon and can be backed at a price of 14/5 to take all three points.
