(GSM) – David Villa is set to meet Valencia president Manuel Llorente next week to discuss his future with speculation mounting regarding a summer move to rivals Barcelona.

The Spain international has been linked with a switch to the Camp Nou, and refused to rule out a move at a promotional event at the Circuit de Catalunya in Montmelo on Tuesday.

He said: “What is true is that I have four years left on my contract with Valencia.

“However, once the league is finished I will meet with my president. We will look at the options out there and discuss our wishes.

“Have my desires have changed from last year? I keep that to myself, but the president of Valencia will be the first to know.”

Reports in Spain last month suggested a verbal agreement had already been reached for the player’s summer transfer to the Catalan club.
