Aston Villa are set to sign Ross McCormack from fellow Championship side Fulham, according to the Mail Online.
The Midlands club are preparing for a season in the second tier following their relegation from the Premier League and are keen on agreeing a deal for the Scotland international, who has bags of experience at that level.
As well as having spent the last two seasons with Fulham, McCormack spent four years with Leeds United while he has also played for Cardiff City in the Championship.
The twenty-nine year old has scored sixty-six league goals over the past three campaigns, a tally which includes the twenty-eight that saw him clinch the division’s Golden Boot in 2014.
He has also been capped thirteen times for his country since making his debut in 2008, scoring two goals.
Villa are joint second favourites to win the Championship at a price of 9/1.
