(GSM) – Premier League side Aston Villa have handed a trial to De Graafschap’s highly-rated youngster Pior Parzyszek over the coming weeks.
The 16-year-old is expected to travel to England in the next few days, where he will spend time training with the Premier League outfit.
Villa will then make a decision on whether or not to take their interest any further.
Parzyszek will be the second De Graafschap starlet heading to Britain in the coming weeks, as Mark Maletic is set to take in a second spell at SPL giants Celtic.
The Dutch second division side accept there is little they can do to prevent their youngsters from leaving, as they are unable to offer the same opportunities available at Europe’s top clubs.
They have seen a host of potential stars slip through their net in recent years, but the club’s director of football Leen Looyen is hoping to bring about an end to the exodus.
“Because of the situation we will be holding a special evening for the players and their parents,” Looyen told De Gelderlander.
“Luuk and Siem de Jong (former academy graduates now playing for FC Twente and Ajax) will say a few words and make it clear that it is not a problem moving to a different club at a later date.”
