French daily newspaper L’Equipe is reporting that Villarreal and Everton are among clubs showing interest in Marseille captain Steve Mandanda.
With his current deal at Stade Velodrome due to expire in June, the 31-year-old was widely linked with a summer exit and he has since confirmed he has probably played his final game for l’OM.
After spending last nine years with the French giants, Mandanda has decided to look for a new challenge, but he has yet to make a decision on his future.
According to L’Equipe, Villarreal want the France international to replace Alphonse Areola, who is set to return to Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, the likes of Monaco and Everton are keen as well, and chances are that Mandanda will receive quite a few offers in the coming weeks.
The highly rated footballer arrived to Marseille from Le Havre and he has since made a total of 334 Ligue 1 appearances for the club.
