La Liga outfit Villarreal are stepping up their efforts to sign Angers striker Karl Toko Ekambi, L’Equipe has learned.
The Yellow Submarine plan to recruit a new centre forward to compensate for the departure of Cedric Bakambu, and they have now set their sights on the Cameroon international.
According to reports, Villarreal submitted a €16 million proposal for Toko Ekambi, but Angers will attempt to secure an even better deal in the coming days.
Nevertheless, everything suggests that the 25-year-old will be moving to El Madrigal after his most successful season up to date.
Kark Toko Ekambi has been one of Ligue 1’s star performers this season, scoring 17 goals in 35 league outings.
