Villarreal join chase for Carlos Bacca

Villarreal are hot on the trail of AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca, Spanish daily newspaper AS can reveal.

The Yellow Submarine are actively searching for a replacement for Roberto Soldado, who recently made a switch to Fenerbahce.

And while former player Gerard Moreno remains the number one target, Villarreal officials are forced to consider other alternatives as well.

AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca is one of the first names on their radar even though they might be priced out of the move for the Colombian.

Villarreal boss Fran Escriba believes the 30-year-old would be an excellent addition to the squad, but agreeing a deal for his services may prove a next to impossible task.
