Spanish La Liga high flyers Villarreal have reached an agreement to sign Argentine forward Cristian Espinoza from Huracan, according to L’Equipe.
The 21-year-old was reportedly acquired for €5 million, and the transfer is expected to be made official during the day.
Villarreal have money to spend in the summer transfer window after selling defender Eric Bailly for £30 million, and they have so far secured the signing of Denis Cheryshev from Real Madrid.
Cristian Espinoza has shown a great deal of potential after coming through the youth ranks at Huracan, going on to make 90 league appearances for the club, scoring 9 goals.
The youngster also represented Argentina at the Under-20 South American Championship, where his side lifted the trophy in style.
Espinoza has been mostly used as a right winger so far, but he is also capable of playing as a second striker, and he has bagged 5 goals in 16 matches in Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.
