The 25-year-old Spanish international Samu Garcia is edging towards a summer move to Russian side Rubin Kazan, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
Garcia does not feature in Villarreal’s plans for the next season and according to reports from the Spanish daily he is on verge of reuniting with Javi Garcia, who he worked under while playing at Malaga.
Negotiations between Villarreal and Rubin Kazan are believed to be well under way as Manu Garcia is getting ready to change clubs during summer transfer window.
Samu Garcia has spent five years at Malaga before his 2015 transfer to Villarreal.
However, the 25-year-old forward played only 16 La Liga matches for El Madrigal outfit, scoring just two goals in the process.
Villarreal have had a fairly successful campaign behind them as they managed to grab hold of the fourth place in La Liga table for a place in Europe.
On the other side, Rubin Kazan have finished 10th in the Russian Premier League and Samu Garcia is getting ready for life without a place in European competitions.
