Vincenzo Montella nears Sevilla exit

Former AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella is nearing the exit door at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, according to Marca.

The Italian’s future at the club is in serious doubt after a series of poor results that culminated with the 5-0 loss to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final.

What is more, Montella granted his squad two days off after said defeat, traveling to Milan for his time off, but the club chiefs were less than impressed by that decision.

Sevilla bosses are reportedly angry with the Italian for traveling to Italy during what is a very difficult period for the club and his position is now in even greater danger.

Even though Montella will be in charge of training on Tuesday, Joaquin Caparros is being tipped to replace him in the coming weeks.
