(GSM) – Fiorentina owner Diego Della Valle said that Cesare Prandelli has to come out and tell the fans whether he intends to leave this summer or not.
Prandelli has been strongly linked with the Juventus job ever since Bayern Munich knocked Fiorentina out of the Champions League earlier this month.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Della Valle said, “You know what present I would like our fans to find in an Easter egg? A letter signed by four people on which it says, ‘I will not go to Juventus next year’. I already have three signatures in my pocket.”
“There is mine. I know that next year, I will not be President of Juventus. There is my brother’s, who will not be the President either. And there is Pantaleo Corvino’s, who is doing a formidable job. He will not be the Bianconeri’s director of sport,” he explained.
Asked if the missing signature belongs to Prandelli, Della Valle said, “Exactly. I would like it if our Coach made this commitment in front of Fiorentina’s fans.”
Della Valle continued, “Actually, it surprises me that our fans have not already made Prandelli this request. Not a game goes by without the chant, ‘Who doesn’t jump is a Juventino’ but no-one wants to know if Prandelli will train Juve next year.”
“It’s strange,” he concluded.
