Virgil van Dijk has decided to leave Liverpool

Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk has decided to leave at the end of the season, according to Fichajes. The Netherlands international is out of contract at the Premier League leaders this summer, and the former Celtic and Southampton star has made up his mind to find a new club.

Paris Saint-Germain are said to be keen on securing the services of Van Dijk on a free transfer. PSG are one of the biggest clubs in the world who regularly win Ligue 1 and go far in the UEFA Champions League. The French giants recently beat Liverpool over two legs in the Round of 16 stage of Europe’s premier club competition this season.

Van Dijk has scored 26 goals and given 13 assists in 311 appearances for Liverpool so far in his career. During his time at Anfield so far, the centre-back has won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup (twice) and the UEFA Champions League.
