Kevin Volland has ended speculation on his future by signing a two-year contract extension with Hoffenheim.
The Germany international had been linked with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach after another impressive season in the Bundesliga, which has seen him score eight goals in 31 outings.
However, Volland has opted to reject those overtures and he put pen-to-paper on fresh terms that run until June 2019.
“My journey with Hoffenheim is not over yet,” Volland told the club’s official website.
“I feel comfortable here and am pleased that the rumours and sometimes absurd speculations are now finished.”
Volland, who will captain his country at the upcoming European Under-21 Championship, has scored 25 goals in 98 Bundesliga appearances for Hoffe.
