Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has confirmed that Milan have made an offer for Arturo Vidal.
The Chilean midfielder was reportedly on the verge of making a switch to Bayern Munich and even expressed his desire to join the Bavarians, but it now looks as though Milan could hijack Bayern’s bid for the 24-year-old.
The Rossoneri are widely looking for a left-sided midfielder and have now made a €10m bid for the Chile international.
“We are keen to hold on to Arturo, but we could cash in on him if a big money offer from abroad comes in. AC Milan’s €10m offer is not high enough for us, though,” Rudi Voller told Bild.
Vidal has one more year left on his contract with Bayer and after he rejected a new deal at Bay Arena, the club from Leverkusen could be forced to sell him this summer.
