Voronin not interested in Liverpool return

Andrey Voronin has ruled out a return to Premier League side Liverpool.

The Bundesliga star is currently on loan at Hertha Berlin from the English side.

Voronin has admitted he would be keen on staying at Hertha, but is ready to consider other options if a deal has not been agreed within the next three weeks.

“I want a decision by the end of March,” he said in Bild.

“There have been a lot of enquiries from other clubs. If it takes too long to sort something out with Hertha, I’m going to talk to other clubs.”

Voronin has been linked with a return to Liverpool after impressing in the Bundesliga.

“I’m not interested in whether they’ve noticed how I’ve been playing,” he said.

“I score goals for Hertha – not for the English side.

“I don’t give a damn what they think of me back on the island.”

He added: “Every player needs confidence. At Hertha, the coach and the players give me that.

“I’m receiving more and more passes – the guy are looking for me. It works out brilliantly.”
