Spartak Moscow have announced on their official website that they have signed Dynamo Kiev midfielder Ognjen Vukojevic on loan until the end of the season.

The Croatian international arrives in Moscow on winter transfer deadline day, and is club’s fourth signing of the transfer window.

Strikers Yuro Movsisyan and Majeed Waris, as well as defender Salvatore Bocchetti had been signed earlier.

Russian newspaper Lifesports claims that Spartak agreed to cover the player’s wages in full and paid €1.5 million for the loan.

The Russian giants also have the option to make the loan deal permanent in the summer for additional €6 million.

Spartak opted to sign Vukojevic as they plan to cash in on star midfielder Rafael Carioca in the summer, and they believe the Croat will be a quality replacement for the Brazilian.

Vukpojevic, 29, has spent last four and a half years at Dynamo, making a total of 123 league appearances for the club and scoring 9 goals.
