West Bromwich Albion have completed a loan deal for Udinese striker Matej Vydra, the Mirror understands.
The 21 year old spent last season on loan with Watford, where he scored twenty-two goals in thirty league appearances – form which saw him named Championship Player of the Year.
The Hornets missed out on promotion to the Premier League after losing to Crystal Palace in the Championship Play-off final at Wembley back in May, leaving Vydra to consider his options for the 2013/14 campaign.
Swansea City, Sunderland and West Ham United had also been interested in the Czech Republic international, but he has decided to join up with Steve Clarke’s men who will be keen to build on the eight place finish they achieved last season.
He becomes the third new addition at the Hawthorns this summer following the arrivals of fellow striker Nicolas Anelka and Uruguay international central defender Diego Lugano.
