Walcott in shock link with Monaco
Monaco are weighing up a big money move for Arsenal forward Theo Walcott, according to the Daily Mail.
With the heavy summer recruitment already paying off, the Principality club are hoping to add few more high-profile players to their ranks in January.
Daily Mail understands that Monaco are considering a £34 million bid for Arsenal hotshot Theo Walcott.
Claudio Ranieri is a bit short of options on the wing and he believes the England international would be a perfect addition to the squad at Stade Louis II.
Theo Walcott is currently out with a hamstring injury, but he is still regarded as a key player at the Emirates, meaning Arsenal are unlikely to be interested in cashing in on him.
The 24-year-old started Arsenal’s first four games of the season, but he has yet to register a Premier League goal this term.
Chelsea keen on Matuidi
Chelsea are being linked with a January swoop for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi, reports Daily Express.
It is no secret Jose Mourinho is hoping to add a holding midfielder to his ranks at the earliest opportunity and he is believed to be looking to sign Xabi Alonso from Real Madrid.
Daily Express has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain star Blaise Matuidi is also on the Portuguese’s hit-list.
The 26-year-old has developed into an important player at Parc des Princes shortly after arriving from Saint Etienne, but the club chiefs have been surprisingly hesitant to offer him a new deal.
And with Matuidi’s current contract due to expire at the end of the season, the Blues are hoping to sign him on a cut-price deal in January.
Given that PSG are showing interest in Juan Manuel Mata, it is being suggested that Chelsea might even offer a swap deal.
Fenerbahce eyeing Manuel Fernandes
Turkish newspaper Fanatik is reporting that Fenerbahce are lining up a Bosman move for Besiktas midfielder Manuel Fernandes.
The highly rated footballer has a contract until the end of the season and he is currently negotiating a new deal with his employers.
However, having asked for more than Besiktas are currently prepared to offer, the 27-year-old appears to be nearing the summer exit.
According to Fanatik, Fenerbahce are ready to take advantage of the situation and snatch the player from under their rivals’ noses.
The Turkish giants have been keeping close tabs on Fernandes for over a year and they are hoping to sign him on a free transfer next summer.
Fenerbahce sit four points clear at the Super Lig summit after nine rounds and they are 9/10 favourites to lift the league title.
