Theo Walcott is set to begin contract talks with Arsenal next week, according to the Mirror.
The 26 year old, who moved to the North London club from Southampton in January 2006, has one year remaining on his £90,000-per-week contract.
He is keen to remain at the Emirates Stadium, but may decide to pursue a new venture if the Gunners make a move for want-away Liverpool winger and fellow England international Raheem Sterling.
In nine-and-a-half years with Arsene Wenger’s side, Walcott has racked up over three hundred appearances in all competitions, scoring seventy-five goals – three of which came in Arsenal’s 4-1 thrashing of West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon – their final game of the season.
He was part of the squad that won last season’s FA Cup, and will be keen to start in Saturday’s final at Wembley, where Arsenal can be backed at 1/2 to beat Aston Villa in ninety minutes.
