Theo Walcott will open contract negotiations with Arsenal in the next fortnight, according to Sky Sports.
The Arsenal forward, who has been linked with a move to Premier League rivals Liverpool, is about to enter the final twelve months on his current deal with the Gunners.
Since moving to the North London club from Southampton half way through the 2005/06 campaign, the England international has racked up almost three hundred appearances in all competitions scoring seventy-two goals.
He also has five goals in thirty-eight appearances for his country, and was part of the squads that went to the 2006 World Cup in Germany and the 2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.
Arsene Wenger’s side currently sit second in the Premier League table, seven points behind leaders Chelsea but this weekend turn their attention to their FA Cup semi-final against Reading.
Having lifted the trophy at Wembley last May, they are the 5/6 favourites to do so this time around.
