It has long been the opinion of many football fans and pundits alike that Theo Walcott needs a move away from Arsenal in order to advance his career. At 28-years of age it may be the winger’s last chance to establish himself as a top player, with enough regular game time to break back into the England squad for the World Cup.
Thankfully Everton look set to come to his aid, and, according to Sky Sports, everything is in place for the deal to be completed. Walcott has reportedly passed his medical and agreed personal terms with the Merseyside club, and he is expected to be unveiled as a Toffee later today.
Walcott has scored over 100 goals for Arsenal in all competitions, but his game time has never quite been consistent enough for the Englishman to fulfil the potential that many people believe he possesses. With Everton struggling for goals it is likely that the forward will fit straight in, and goals should come for the Gunners veteran.
