Competition: Euro 2016
Market: Wales to win against Northern Ireland
Odds: 19/20 @ Bet 365

Wales lock horns with British Isles rivals Northern Ireland at the Parc des Princes in Paris this evening for their last-16 clash in the European Championships.

Wales are slim favourites due to their superior playing squad and better results in the tournament, but Northern Ireland have confounded critics this summer so they shouldn’t be ruled out.

Wales made the last-16 of the European Championships after winning Group B. The Dragons picked up six points from a possible nine after wins against Slovakia and Russia, and will fancy their chances of besting Northern Ireland this evening as a result.

As for the opposition, Michael O’Neill’s men finished third in Group C with three points from as many games. They suffered narrow defeats to Germany and Poland in the group stages, but beat the Ukraine which sealed their place in the knockouts.

Wales boast stellar Premier League and European players such as Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey and Liverpool’s Joe Allen, and that should be enough to see them edge a win over Northern Ireland at the Parc des Princes today.

As a result, Bet 365 are giving odds of 19/20 for Wales to win against Northern Ireland in this evening’s knockout clash, with the victor booking their place in the quarter-finals.
