Inter defender Walter Samuel is being linked with a summer move to Boca Juniors, El Clarin has suggested.
The 36-year-old will be leaving the Nerazzurri when his contract expires in June, but he has yet to reveal his new destination.
And while Fiorentina are reportedly interested in his services, Argentine newspaper El Clarin has learned that former club Boca Juniors have joined the race as well.
La Xeneize boss Carlos Bianchi is believed to have contacted the veteran defender to enquire about the possibility of Samuel returning to La Bombonera.
The highly rated stopper has made a total of 77 league appearances for Boca Juniors between 1997 and 2000 before moving to AS Roma.
And with Juan Roman Riquelme, Fernando Gago, Cata Diaz and Juan Forlin all back at La Bombonera, there is a chance Walter Samuel will be interested in a return as well.
Walter Samuel has spent last nine years at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, winning five Serie A titles and a Champions League trophy in the process.
