Victor Wanyama says he is fully focussed on life at Southampton despite failing to secure a summer move to Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Metro.
The Kenya international became unsettled amid rife speculation over a potential transfer to White Hart Lane, but remained with the Saints, who had already sanctioned the sale of fellow centre midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin to Manchester United.
Wanywama moved to St Mary’s from Celtic in the summer of 2013, and has since racked up seventy-two appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.
During his time in Scotland, he won two league titles and was name the SPL’s Young Player of the Year in 2013 while he has also played for Belgian side Beerschot – the club where he began his professional career.
He also has thirty-five appearances for his country, scoring three goals.
Southampton secured a shock 3-1 win at Chelsea on Saturday afternoon to move up to ninth place in the Premier League, and can now be backed at 4/1 to finish in the top six.
