Wanyama seals Tottenham Hotspur switch

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Kenya international Victor Wanyama, according to Sky Sports.

The twenty-four year old signs on a five year deal from Southampton which will see him committed to the North London side, who have long been linked with a move to secure his services, until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

Wanyama spent three seasons at St. Mary’s, racking up ninety-two appearances for the South Coast club in all competitions, scoring four goals.

Prior to his move to the Premier League, he won back-to-back league titles in his two seasons with Celtic, having signed for them from Belgian side Beerschot AC – the club with whom he began his career.

Internationally, he has been capped forty-four times for his country, scoring four times.

Upon signing for Southampton, he became the first ever Kenyan to play in England’s top flight.
