QPR manger Neil Warnock is looking to shift his domestic transfer policy abroad, hoping to pilfer Europe for reinforcements in January.
The Hoops boss is known as being typically wary of signing players without English football experience, but a recent meeting with chairman Tony Fernandes seems to have changed his tune.
“We don’t want to look just in England, and there is no manager in the Premiership who doesn’t want to improve what he’s already got,” Warnock told the Fulham Chronicle.
The former Sheffield United manager also laughed off speculation linking star midfield Adel Taarabt with a move abroad, despite admitting to a failed summer swoop from French club Paris Saint-Germain.
“I take all this with a pinch of salt,” he said. “Six weeks ago he was never going to play for his country (Morocco) again, but this week he scores a goal and kisses the coach – that’s Adel for you.”
“I know what PSG offered, and by the time we had paid Tottenham off we’d have been left with peanuts.”
QPR are currently in 11th place on eight points after seven games in the Premier League, and host Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
