Watford and Udinese are in talks about Udinese forward Ignacio Pussetto joining the Hornets, with defender Marvin Zeegelaar possibly going the other way, according to Sky Sports.
Pussetto, 24, is a very versatile player. Primarily a striker, he can played wide on either wing or in midfield if need. He has so far made 12 Serie A appearances for the black-and-whites of Udine, but only two of those from the first whistle. He found the opposition net twice and was an unused substitute six times.
Meanwhile, 29-year-old Zeegelaar joined Watford from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2017, but he hasn’t been able to nail down a spot in the starting XI either. He already spent some time with Udinese, having joined the Italian club on loan for the second half of last season and making 12 league appearances for them.
The two clubs, Watford and Udinese, are both in the ownership of the same family, with Italian businessman Giampaolo Pozzo owning Udinese and his son Gino in possession of Watford.
