Watford have made an approach for West Bromwich Ablion forward Saido Berahino, according to Sky Sports.
The Hornets are keen to bring in a striker with questions over the futures of both Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo, while Premier League champions Leicester City have also thrown their hat into the ring with Jamie Vardy linked with a switch to Arsenal.
Berahino has long been linked with a move away from the Hawthorns, with Tottenham Hotspur often mooted as his most likely destination.
Newcastle United also failed in an attempt to secure his services after the North East club saw a £21m rejected in January.
Since making his Baggies debut in the 2012/13 campaign, the twenty-two year old has racked up one hundred and thirteen appearances in all competitions, scoring thirty-six goals.
Before breaking into the Midlands’ sides first team he had loan spells with Northampton Town, Brentford and Peterbrough United.
