Watford keen on Juventus goalkeeper

Watford Observer claims that Watford FC are showing interest in Juventus goalkeeper Norberto Neto.

The Hornets plan to recruit a long-term successor to veteran Heurelho Gomes, and new manager Marco Silva has set his sights on the Brazilian footballer.

Norberto Neto arrived in Turin two years ago as a potential replacement for Gianluigi Buffon, but he has since made just 11 Serie A appearances.

The 27-year-old does not appear to have a long-term future at Juventus and a summer exit is a realistic possibility.

A potential move to Watford would finally give Neto an opportunity to play on regular basis and chances are he will be tempted by the prospect of moving to English Premier League.

The Hornets finished the previous campaign in 17th position and they can now be backed at 8/1 for a top 10 finish.
