The 27-year-old Tunisia international Aymen Abdennour is a target for the Premier League side Watford, according to Sky Sports.
The Hornets are believed to be highly keen on the Valencia defender who joined La Liga outfit from AS Monaco in 2015 but found his time in the first team limited last season.
Abdennour made only 9 La Liga starts and 15 overall appearances for Los Che having dropped down the pecking order behind Ezequiel Garay and Elaquim Mangala.
Watford boss Marco Silva is keen to offer Aymen Abdennour a chance to revive his career in the Premier League and the Hornets are believed to have already submitted a loan offer worth £1.8 million with an option to buy Abdennour’s contract for further £7 million at the end of next season.
Watford have been rather busy in the transfer market this summer. The Hornets have already brought Nathaniel Chalobah from Chelsea, Derby’s Will Hughes, Tom Cleverley on a permanent deal from Everton, Kiko Femenia and goalkeeper Daniel Bachman.
