According to a recent report from Fabrizio Romano, Watford have opened talks over a potential return to the club for Inter Milan star Ashley Young.
The former Manchester United man has achieved some great things in his career but as he prepares to turn 36 this summer, many have been left to wonder what he’s got left in the tank.
It’s a viable question given how long he’s been competing at the highest level but up to this point, we haven’t had any legitimate answers.
It’s been many, many years since Young left Vicarage Road but in terms of the story, it’d be great for him to return to the Hornets for the final chapter of his career.
Plus, it makes even more sense now that Watford have confirmed their promotion back to the Premier League, enticing Young even moreso.
There’s no guarantee it’ll actually happen but as of this writing, the wheels are well and truly in motion.
