Premier League high-flyers Watford have submitted an offer for Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong, according to L’Equipe.
The Hornets hope to reinforce the middle of the park ahead of the second part of the season and they see the Gabonese footballer as a potentially very good addition to the squad.
L’Equipe claims that Watford have submitted a loan offer for Ndong, including a €9 million buy-out clause.
Ndong joined Sunderland in a €16 million deal from Lorient some 18 months ago, but he couldn’t prevent the Black Cats from getting relegated.
He has, however, performed at a high level since arriving in England and now looks set to return to the elite division.
After 26 matches, Sunderland sit at Championship rock bottom and they are 11/8 to suffer back to back relegations.
