Watford manager Gianfranco Zola is considering making another move for Chelsea’s Nathaniel Chalobah, Sky Sports understands.
The Chelsea legend took the England U21 midfielder on a season-long deal a year ago, and the eighteen year old played a major part in a campaign which saw the Hornets secure a third place finish.
He also appeared in the Play Off final against Crystal Palace at Wembley back in May, which Watford lost after extra time.
Zola is looking for midfield reinforcements, having failed in an attempt to sign Tom Carroll from Tottenham Hotspurs on deadline day.
Chalobah, who is yet to make his Blues debut, is still a far way off the Chelsea first team, and is likely to be allowed to gain further experience elsewhere once the loan window opens Monday.
FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic have also been linked with a move for the player, who was used in defence as England U21’s beat Moldova yesterday (Thursday) evening.
