England international Wayne Rooney has recently admitted he has no excuse if he doesn’t perform to his potential in this summer’s World Cup.

The Manchester United forward has talked up his chances of finally proving himself in a major international tournament after putting in a number of poor showings for England in the last European Championships (2012) and World Cup (2010) most notably.

“I’m in the best condition. I want to show the world what I can do. There will be no excuses if I don’t. This is the one where I have to show what I can do and I’m ready for it, excited for it. There will be no excuses this time if I don’t perform. I want to give everything.”

Rooney has enjoyed a good season for his club in regard to his own personal form, scoring 19 goals and making 15 assists in 38 games in the Premier League & Europe.
