(GSM) – Tonight, Juventus faces Fulham in the eight finals of the Europa League.
Juve striker David Trezeguet insists they can not only beat the English side this evening, but also possibly win the Europa League.
The Bianconeri are out of the race for the Scudetto and were eliminated from the Coppa Italia, meaning that their only chance of silverware this season lies in the Europa League.
“It’s best that we win something this year, and seeing that the Europa League is all that’s left to us, we want to go all the way,” Trezeguet explained.
“We can do it on the condition that, with respect to Fulham, we remember that they knocked out the winners of the last edition of the UEFA Cup.
“The Europa League is an important competition for every one of us even if we expected to be playing in the Champions League during this period.
“The game won in Florence has given us an extra motivation. We are on the right track. Going forward in Europe can give us motivation for Serie A even if our objective at the start of the season is now beyond us.”
