(GSM) – Internazionale’s matchwinner Samuel Eto’o praised Wesley Sneijder and believes Inter ‘can win anywhere’.
His first goal for his club in 2010 silenced Stamford Bridge and knocked Chelsea out of the Champions League.
“I don’t think a player can change much in a team,” Eto’o told Sky Sport Italia.
“Inter are a great side of champions and when we play at the level we did tonight, we can win in any stadium.”
The Cameroon international played in a wider role for the 4-2-1-3 system, matched by Goran Pandev on the other flank.
“The Coach told me two days ago I would be playing in that position. It is a sacrifice for the team that I must make and we are all very happy.”
Sneijder’s brilliant pass released Eto’o for the winning goal in London.
“Wesley is a very important player. He put two balls there for me. I made a bad decision on the first one, but with the second I just had to put it in the back of the net.”
