(GSM) – Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque has full faith in the ability of Fernando Torres in the 2010 World Cup quarter-final on Saturday night with Paraguay.
The Spanish football fans preferred Fernando Llorente to Torres as the forward of the World Cup team, according to the media polls of fans taken by Madrid sports dailies AS and Marca but Del Bosque is still backing the Liverpool ace to shine against a Saturday’s opponent.
The 59-year-old Spanish tactician said: “It’s impossible to avoid such a debate at a tournament like this because everyone has an opinion and it’s good that they are expressed.”
“Our forward at the moment is Fernando (Torres). He has played a part in all four matches, quite a few minutes, and he’ll play more.
“We have full confidence in him and we also know that Fernando Llorente can bring a lot to the team,” he added.
