After coming from behind to beat Hannover 96 5-1, FC Bayern are joint second in the table and back in the thick of the title race. Coach Jürgen Klinsmann discussed the latest win, the form of Lukas Podolski, and his team’s recent tendency of conceding early goals.
“Spirits are really high. We knew we had to get a result and that was emphatically achieved. The team kept their composure after conceding the obligatory goal, and exerted the kind of pressure that led to us scoring one after the other ourselves. The final result was thoroughly merited and we complimented the players on the performance before they headed home”, Klinsmann told bundelsiga.de
“I was delighted to see Lukas Podolski score. On top of that he was winning us free kicks and generally got involved in the game. Miroslav Klose got on the scoresheet as well, and that’s the best medicine for a striker”.
