Weak NAC no match for Feyenoord

Feyenoord have managed to end a disastrous year on a positive note, with a 3-1 win over fifth-placed NAC Breda in Friday’s only Eredivisie game.

Striker Biseswar put the Rotterdam outfit in the lead on 33 minutes and Leroy Fer doubled the advantage just before the break.

In the second half, NAC lacked the strength to fight their way back into the game and instead allowed Fer to add his second three minutes after the hour mark. Striker Matthew Amoah did get one back for the visitors late on.

The win takes Feyenoord from 13th to 11th place and more importantly, allows Gert-Jan Verbeek’s side to create a bigger gap between them and the relegation zone.
