Weigl wants to leave Borussia Dortmund

According to a recent report from Bild, Julian Weigl wants to leave German giants Borussia Dortmund during the summer transfer window. The 23 year old has been with the club since back in 2015 when he made the jump over from 1860 Munich, and since then, he’s been able to establish himself as one of the best players in Bundesliga. Weigl hasn’t been able to quite lock down a  place in the first team this season, however, which some would suggest is due to his links with Paris Saint-Germain back in January. Ever since then there’s been a great deal of speculation over whether or not any deal would be put in place by the time the summer came around, and now, it seems like we’ve got our first development in quite some time.

Weigl is still incredibly young in this game but he clearly knows what he wants, and as a guy who wants to get back into the German national team setup on a permanent basis, you can’t blame him for seeking consistency.
